Lauren M. Hug , J.D., LL.M.,

an accomplished speaker, writer, and strategist, combines communication and research theory with multi-way engagement methods to build and empower vibrant communities across digital and physical spaces. By creating feedback loops and opportunities for participation, Lauren activates horizontal, person-to-person communication to inspire authentic dialogue, thought, and behavior change within organizations and among a wide variety of markets and audiences. She applied this approach as the community face of 2018’s successful Harrison District 2 bond campaign and 2017’s District 11 Mill Levy Override Campaign. As founder of HugSpeak Coaching & Consulting, she relies on presentation experience from the courtroom to the boardroom, involvement with dozens of messaging campaigns, and cultural sensitivity from traveling and living abroad to advise clients on branding, market research, marketing, and digital strategy. Her positive, collaborative approach has been described as empowering, life-changing, and even therapeutic. Lauren is an attorney and certified mediator whose academic credentials include an LL.M. with merit from the University of London, a J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law, and a Bachelor of Journalism and Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from the University of Texas. She is the author of Digital Kindness: Being Human in a Hyper-Connected World, The Professional Woman’s Guide to Getting Promoted, and The Manager’s Guide to Presentations.

Stacey Burns

is currently the Vice President of Business Innovation at Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado and a cofounder of the Colorado Institute for Social Impact (CI4SI). CI4SI seeks to educate organizations on the power of the emerging Fourth Sector of the economy using entrepreneurial strategies to solve social issues in our community. Stacey is working to increase the understanding and measurement of Social Return onInvestment (SROI) through CI4SI, a process she has been developing since 2009. Stacey was chosen in 2015 to become a Beanstalk Foundation Leader, is Chair of the El Paso County Community Services Block Grant Advisory Board, and is on the Board of Directors for Peak Partnership and Homeward Pikes Peak. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English from CU-Boulder and a Masters degree in Counseling Psychology and Counselor Education from CU-Denver Health Sciences. Stacey loves reading, movies, and water skiing.



Yemi Mobolade

collaborates for the health, growth and flourishing of Colorado Springs making his impact through economic development, entrepreneurship, community development, ministry, and leadership development.

In his role as Small Business Development Administrator for the City of Colorado Springs, Yemi serves as the City’s first point of contact to the small business and start-up community.  He is the central figure in the City to support business enterprises across the myriad agencies, putting a strategy in place to assist small businesses.

Yemi, a Nigerian Immigrant, served as the Vice President of Business Retention and Expansion for the Colorado Springs Chamber & Economic Development Corporation. He co-founded the Wild Goose Meeting House, Good Neighbors Meeting House, Niche Coaching and Consulting, and has established a church.  He was the minister of City Outreach and Engagement at First Presbyterian Church Colorado Springs and spent a previous career in quality control manufacturing.

A strong community advocate, Yemi, holds two master’s degrees, is involved with many boards. He currently serves on the Pikes Peak Community College President’s Advisory Council, the Cultural Office of the Pikes Peak Region Board of Directors, Men’s Xchange Board of Directors, Spring Rescue Mission Board of Directors, Thrive Colorado Springs Board of Directors, and is the Co-founder and Chairperson of COSILoveYou, a collaborative movement to unite Colorado Springs churches to impact the city through community engagement and service.

Yemi is a member of the prestigious Colorado Springs Leadership.  His recognitions include 2018 Colorado Springs Small Business Champion of the Year, Colorado Springs Business Journal’s 2016 Rising Stars, 2015 Colorado Springs Mayor’s Young Leader Award for Economic Impact, and 2016 Alumnus of the Year from his alma mater Bethel College.  Above all, his greatest achievement is his family.  He and his wife Abbey, a nurse educator, are parents of an adopted son and a biological daughter.

James Proby

is a Colorado Springs native with a passion for this community. He has held leadership roles and several capacities in different organizations throughout El Paso County, and is a graduate of the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. His latest Venture is a social enterprise called The Men’s Xchange. The Men’s Xchange is a men’s professional clothing boutique that specializes in dressing men in business and dress apparel for $40 or less.

For about every 9 men that shop there, The Men’s Xchange can dress one man in our community at no cost.
